WENTWORTH LEISURE CENTRE
After 20 years using facilties at Wentworth Leisure Centre our bridge room has
recently been transformed into a much bigger and lighter playing area with air
conditioning.
A new lift has also been installed in the building making access to the first
floor much easier for those who wish to avoid the stairs.
There are still some further improvements to be made during the coming months
which we hope will not affect us too much but we will be kept informed about
these.
We are extremely grateful to the Wentworth management team and their staff
who, as always, went out of their way to accommodate us as comfortably as
possible during the summer months while the renovation works were being
carried out.

20 Years at Wentworth
To celebrate this event
the committee arranged a finger buffet and drinks, supplied the centre's caterer
David, which was enjoyed by everyone.
Joyce Cunningham painstakingly
produced table clothes, dyed, to match the colour scheme, whilst Dorothy Foster baked
a celebration cake in the shape of bridge card tables, a tremendous effort,
which got our new venue off to a flying start.
Life member, Billie
Brogden was asked to cut the cake, which she did, wishing the club well for the
next 20 years.
